Language for the Loss

I'm thinking of the moment when the Birdwatcher loses the Girl for good.  We should use the polite but efficient language of the internet/e-mail.  It's kind of devastating.  For example:
  • Hi.  This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com
  • I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following.
  • This is a permanent error; I've given up.  Sorry it didn't work out.
  • 216.183.98.8 does not like recipient.
  • Remote host said:  511 cude_nsu sorry, no mailbox here by that name.
  • Giving up on 216.183.98.8
  • This Profile No Longer Exists
  • This program has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.
  • Blue Screen of Death
Other ideas?
